About Justin Mackin

Justin graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2019 with awards in trial tactics and admission into the Order of Barristers, an organization that recognizes elite trial ability. Prior to that, he graduated from Syracuse University magna cum laude with a B.A. in political science, policy studies, and political philosophy.

He began as a Public Defender handling all levels of the courts: juvenile matters, misdemeanors, felonies, and appeals. In his first year, he argued to the Ohio Supreme Court in State v. Carlisle, No. 2019-1700.

From there, he learned how the government operates when he prosecuted misdemeanor and traffic offenses for the City of Columbus, eventually specializing in the Domestic Violence Unit. Later, he would prosecute felonies up to the first degree as a prosecutor in Medina County.

Now based in the Northeast Ohio area, Justin is using his experience to defend the people at all levels of the legal system.
